arrow Tooling

Aeromet's expertise in tooling design is founded upon producing Wax tooling, Pattern equipment, Hot Forming & SPF tooling, since 1978. The highest quality materials are used in the manufacture of all tools in order to ensure the longevity of the equipment.

arrow Treatment of Data (drawing)

As the complexity of aerospace component designs increase, it is important that our client's requirements are understood. Electronic data transfer from customer to final product is ensured through a link to Aeromets' Catia V5 stations. From this data Aeromet ensures a flow of reliable product information which meet customers requirements.

arrow Machining

Aeromet offer a complete finishing service for all manufactured products. This includes heat treatment and machining.

Aeromet are equipped with Computer and Numerically Controlled machining centres, enabling us to provide the complete service.

arrow Chemical Milling

By the use of aqueous rubberised coatings, selected areas can be masked and chemical milling applied in order to reduce the weight of Titanium components.

Chemical Milling is an essential process for the removal of all traces of the "Alpha Case", an inherent brittle layer produced during the superplastic forming of titanium materials.

arrow Product Verification

Aeromet is a world class supplier of cast and fabricated components. It is essential that the components produced comply with National and International customer’s specifications. M.R.P. systems provide complete product traceability.

Casting Standards of Quality
Direct readout Spectrographs are used to ensure conformance of the chemical composition of alloys. These tests are carried out before the molten metal is cast.

Our extensive laboratory facilities ensure conformance of mechanical properties using separately or integrally cast test coupons.

Individual components are rigorously tested for defects using Radiographic and Penetrant Flaw Detection (P.F.D) techniques, ensuring the designers’ criteria are achieved and exceeded.

Dimensional inspection is carried out by qualified personnel using C.N.C Co-ordinate measuring machines supported by dedicated jigs and fixtures.

Forming Standards of Quality
Aeromet assures product conformity at all stages of the manufacturing process, ensuring that each part complies to the necessary manufacturing standard as specified by ISO9002 TS157.

Aeromet takes an interactive role with their customers in order to ensure the correct forming process is used for each design.

arrow Assembly and J.I.T-Kits

The Assembly of details has been an important part of Aeromet's strategy for almost 30 years. We have a comprehensive range of equipment, necessary for assembly operations, which combine to provide repeatable structures. Aeromet is equipped with spot / seam / TIG welding and riveting equipment.

Aeromet has extensive experience of kitting products which are delivered, direct to the customer’s production lines. This reduces inspection costs, lead times and documentation. Component parts are produced in economic batch quantities which are retained in dedicated stores and kitted as and when required.
