History
Founded in Birmingham in the West Midlands in 1978 as Tru-Flow, acquired by Charles Baynes in 1991 and merged with Frank Ford in 1992. The Birmingham facility has a wide range of capabilities specialising in Aluminium Stretch Forming, Brake-Press, Rubber Forming, and Titanium Forming (Hot and Superplastic) for the Aerospace and Defence industries.
Our core manufacturing facilities are supported by anodising, painting, machining, chemical milling, welding, riveting, alpha case testing, hot analysis, and assembly.

Product Range
Products manufactured include: Aluminium Stretch Forming of Nacelle and Fuselage Skins, Aluminium Leading Edges Skins, Aluminium Stringers and Close-outs, Rubber Forming of detail parts, Machining of Aluminium castings, Hot forming of Titanium erosion shields, bulkheads, ducting, leading edges and other complex components.
The major Titanium material specifications formed are Ti 6Al 4V, Beta 21S, Ti 62-42, Ti CP1, Ti CP3.
Aluminium - typically QQA 250 and L166.
Scope
Birmingham facility is equipped with 3 off Fielding and Platt Skin Stretch Form Machines, 2 off Leading Edge stretch machines, 3 off Hufford Stretch Form Rigs, 3 off hot forming presses and 1 superplastic forming press.
Tolerances: Every client’s needs are different, so quality plans and inspection solutions are tailored accordingly and endorsed by our impressive range of customer approvals.
Approvals: The site is BS EN ISO 9001:2000, AS9100 RevA:2001 approved as well as holding approvals for aerospace companies such as Boeing, Goodrich, Airbus, Raytheon, Bombardier and others.
